His essays and reporting have appeared in the Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, as well as in National Review, Commonweal, Crisis, Inside the Vatican, National Catholic Register, U.S. Catholic, Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, Godspy.com, Beliefnet.com, Catholic News Service, and elsewhere. Scott’s latest books are The Catholic Passion: Rediscovering the Power and Beauty of the Faith (2005), and A Revolution of Love: The Meaning of Mother Teresa (2005). His previous books include Praying in the Presence of the Lord with Dorothy Day (2002), and Weapons of the Spirit: The Selected Writings of Father John Hugo (1997), co-written with Mike Aquilina. One of Scott’s essays was chosen for inclusion in The Best Catholic Writing 2005. In October 2010, Scott was named editor-in-chief of the Catholic News Agency and EWTN News. With news bureaus in North and South America and Europe, Catholic News Agency is one of the largest and fastest growing independent Catholic media outlets in the world. EWTN News is the news arm of EWTN Global Catholic Network, which provides multimedia services to more that 140 countries and territories and is the world’s largest religious media company. In recent years, Scott has also served as a consultant and close collaborator to top leaders in the Catholic Church in the United States, helping them to produce books, speeches, essays, Scripture studies, and more. He has also served as editorial director the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, a research and educational institute, and as managing editor of Letter & Spirit, a journal of Catholic biblical theological theology edited by Scott Hahn. From 1993–2000 served as editor of Our Sunday Visitor, the nation’s largest circulation independent Catholic newspaper. He also served as a contributing editor for Godspy.com.
